Seeking New York State Certified HHAs and PCAs
We are looking for compassionate and experienced caregivers to provide Daytime, Weekend, and Live-in support for clients.
This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, and is looking for a more full time role. The right candidate will have at least 3 years of experience offering one-to-one support, ensuring patients feel comfortable, safe, and well taken care of as they go about their daily routines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.- Comfortable using all necessary equipment for patient care, including Hoyer lift, and experienced in providing care for bed bound patients.
- Assist with mobility, including transfers and repositioning, ensuring the patient’s comfort and safety.
- Offer medication reminders and help with light housekeeping tasks related to the patient’s care, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and caring atmosphere.
- Follow individualized care plans and adjust as needed to meet the patient’s specific needs.
- Record the care provided and report any changes in the patient’s condition to family members or the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a Home Health Aide, PCA, or caretaking role.
- Valid HHA or PCA Certificate in New York State
- Valid Work Authorization for the United States of America
- Ability to meet with family members and general care managers either in person or via zoom for formal introductions
- Experience helping patients with personal care and mobility.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently while remaining attentive to the patient’s needs.
